Blissful views, unique architecture, and bustling cities |
Nigeria is located in Africa, with it's capital being Abuja. It has many rainforests, waterfalls, and savannas, as well as a diverse wildlife. Once a part of Great Britain, Nigeria broke free and gained it's independence in 1960. A civilian government was adopted in 1999, after 39 years of military control and coups. Currently, Nigeria is struggling with economic issues, as they are tying to reform their petroleum based income source. There is quite a bit of conflict in Nigeria, with religious and ethnic tensions. Two of their presidential elections have been disfigured due to these tensions causing violence, consequently making Nigeria experience it's longest civilian rule since independence.
