Owls: If a hoot of an owl is heard on your rooftop, it is considered a bad omen as owls are associated with witchcraft and evil in the Nigerian Society.
Eating in the Dark: If one is to eat in the dark,it is believed that they are inviting spirits and ghosts to eat with them, which could lead grave illness or death to that individual.
Itchy Hands: If someone's hand is to itch without reason, it is believed that some kind of fortune is about to come their way. Usually an itchy hand is considered a good thing, as the fortune that is to come is usually believed to be good.
Hitting one's left leg on a stone: If one is to hit their left leg on a stone, it is considered to be a bad omen, warning that person to turn around on their journey and head back home. It is believed that if not taken seriously, the journey could lead to someone loosing their life.
